Who Was More God-Like? SFS or Van (Stage 1 Finals - 2 Finals)

This series of articles is going to cover story lines and takes from this season that have likely been forgotten as the season has progressed.

Who is more god-like? The Titans or the Shock? That question lived for as long as GOATs lived and it was fairly contentious. The Titans and Shock have been 1a and 1b since the Stage 1 playoffs where they had their first serious clash. After that, no one came close to touching them until Stage 3. But looking back at the season, these two teams dominance shaped the season until 222 was introduced, so what effect did it have? In my opinion, along with a stale meta, the season took a boring dip in the middle of the season because of these tow teams dominance. Like when the Warriors and Cavaliers decided no one else was allowed to play in the finals for 4 years, the middle of this Overwatch League season had that effect for me at least and I'm sure that it happened for some other fans of the league. But what did we finally end on? If the grand finals were after Stage 2, who wins? Which team is actually the better team? Well in my opinion, in a 3 game series the Shock would win after Stage 2. They became so efficient that a well-oiled machine wouldn't describe how they played GOATs. They were like an ecosystem without any human involvement and any mistake they did make didn't matter because of the system they had in place. The Shock became the most dominant team in the league after their golden Stage 2. They did have to take that title from the Titans though, it wasn't given to them. In stage 3 we saw both teams struggle with Sombra GOATs but were still 1a and 1b but it was never the same struggle as the first 2 stages of this season. These two teams were at the peak of their powers when they clashed in the Stage 2 finals and it was beautiful to see.
