Probably the most hyped signing of the off season. Dafran the EU memer signed with the Atlanta Reign, and expansion team that became in an instant fan favourite. Dafran was Seagull x10, everyone knew him because of his mechanics that were as nutty was that squirrel that gets the shit kicked out of it in Ice Age. The Reign had a lot of success in Stage 1. They looked like an upper-middle team with room to improve. Then, as quickly as he came he left, Dafran left us like Spiderman is going to leave the MCU, abrupt and without a warning. We've seen this before though. Seagull, xQc, Effect and maybe Krystal all left the league because they had other things they wanted to do in life, but none felt as painful as the bad man Dafran leaving. We thought he was having fun, we thought, maybe Dafran could be the face of Overwatch League. There was no meltdown (like many expected) he just left. I can still feel the cold breeze coming from the window he left through on that fateful night and it still gives me chills. I never got closure and maybe I never will. I don't tell many people this but sometimes I still go into his chat and spam a couple dafranloves.
